The Effigies driving return to top performance. Every song is driving relentless energy. Always loved Kedzy's more thought provoking cynical lyrics compared to the standard "I dont care" generic punk. Found myself in the midst of the chi-town punk scene in my teens (1993 or so), playing shows by '96 in p.E.n. with the likes of urban dk, 10-96, rat bastards... funny i never heard the effigies, or Out of Order till about 99 and both bands have been staples in my life since. Sad to hear John has departed us, but as he vocalized once, "We'll be here tomorrow.." and this album just further cements that statement. So cheers to The Effigies on dropping another gem that will live on for those of us discontented by the savagery we are daily dealt in modern society.
